Open Source African Progress

Unlock the full potential of Africa's diverse and dynamic population, and drive positive change across the continent

Africa has a population of over 1.3 billion people, with over 3,000 distinct ethnic groups and more than 2,000 languages spoken, As such there is always a need for a platform that can bring together people from different backgrounds and provide a space for cross-cultural communication and collaboration. OSAP (Open source African progress) is a gamified social media where individuals, organisations, and communities can meet, share ideas, and work towards solutions that are inspired by challenges peculiar in our world

Brainstorming Design

Brainstorming

I initally thought of this idea after our country banned twitter for nearly 6 months

One of the main purpose of the creation of decentralized apps is to give the masses the power to control and manage their own content. OSAP could be well-positioned to take advantage of this trend, by providing a platform that is built on Web3 principles and designed to enable new forms of collaboration, and not cut off a particular section of people from the rest of the world.

INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE

By merging core functions of creating ccpprofile, receiving a custom membershhip nft, and having access to post, contribute and vote for solutions shared on variety of topics. There is also a sign in with twitter that should reduce the process of filling profile information and possibly link ccprofile with new account.

PAPER PROTOTYPE USABILITY TEST

We iterated our wireframe design by conducting informal usability testing with the low-fidelity prototype. Because the timeframe of the hackathon was short, only a few participants like our roommates provided feedbacks on error-prevention methods, accessibility, and discoverability of the UI.
